Located adjacent to Canberra International Airport, Canberra Construction Recyclers, formerly Canberra Concrete Recyclers (CCR), has become increasingly innovative and highly regarded in waste management operations.
With the name change came new branding and a new direction.
The new name better reflects the evolution of the company and its current activities. CCR proudly boasts a facility that has saved millions of tonnes of ACT waste from Landfill during its operation so far.
CCR accepts a wide range of construction and building demolition waste, such as mixed demolition VENM (virgin excavated natural material/clean Fill), concrete, bricks, asphalt, drilling water etc.
Once sorted, CCR’s modern equipment efficiently processes recycled waste into a range of valuable aggregates, road bases, topsoil and fill materials.
The previous use of this site was an uncontrolled domestic and industrial landfill facility. Products produced onsite include crushed concrete sub-base, graded aggregates, manufactured sand and drainage materials to accepted engineering standards and other specialised products by customers’ requests.
Upon commissioning the new picking station in 2009, the site could sort and sell other recycled materials, including steel, aluminium, copper, timber, cardboard, plastics, and various other products for reuse.

The site operates on 26 hectares of Commonwealth of Australia land.
CCR is both an EPA licenced construction waste recycling depot (authorisation number 0581), and also a registered ACT public weighbridge facility (licence numbers in: 0330, out: 0379).
